i've been on the prowl for sperry chukka's on sale, such a cool shoe....they looked pretty amazing in your pics from Europe especially when untied and paired with some cuffed, raw denim. the white sole is a bit forward thinking for fall, but I guess that's kinda the appeal...
just had another though...how awesome would these be paired with LL Bean Laces (as seen on the saddle colored blucher http://www.llbean.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/CategoryDisplay?page=handsewn-moccasins-blucher-moc&categoryId=11575&storeId=1&catalogId=1&langId=-1)
damn, dude. Beating me to it! I've got an extra short pair of traditional redwing laces around my place somewhere, was thinking the exact same thing. I love contrast thinking, I wear sperrys year round and I actually prefer the white sole.
Yeah, I'm loving the darker patina. I've got a pair of non-chukka topsiders just begging to be revived. Also, loving everything you're posting on the blog. Thanks for the tip!
Which chukka colorway is that? haha this post has literally driven to find these and buy them with a bottle of red wing boot oil, just need to know which one to buy, if I may bite thee style.

Loving the application you did. What oil did you use?
Zachary- I used Red Wing Boot Oil. http://www.zonkshop.com/red-wing-boot-oil-p-1121.html
Great product for bringing back old boots and keeping leather fresh and crack free...I've had the same bottle for like 5 years.

The idea of new gold and tan laces would not get out of my head, such a killer look, so I had to post...thanks for the inspiration...
