So this stuff is by no means mind blowing... but I get tired of posting on shit I can barely afford and hardly ever find. Surprisingly I really liked the fair isle sweater and the fit was spot on. For $39.99 the 100% cotton should probably last more than one season of winter wear. This way you wont feel bad about dropping close to a grand on a designer sweater that you barely ever wear...

I've seen this American Living shit in person, and while it is such an obvious Polo ape, the stuff isn't as horrendous as you would think. The only downside is the ridiculous branding you would expect from stuff being sold in JCPenny. For example, after seeing a passable oxford for around $30 you then realize the giant eagle soaring over the chest of the shirt (or placed somewhere people WILL see it). I'm not saying that in a pretentious manner, but I don't want any of my clothes, regardless of price, to be that heavily branded. I think I'll stick with lands end canvas when it comes to budget shopping.
totally agree... the oxfords actually fit well too... I tried one on before I found the sweaters and then noticed the giant tribute to America all over my chest. Most definite branding failure... if I was producing a $30 OCBD I wouldnt even want hangtags, it's obvoius the production cost is the most important thing here...
