Inspiration

A.P.C. Documentary

So I thought I'd document the wearing in of my new pair of A.P.C. Rescues. The Rescue cut is a nice "relaxed" straight fit in dry Sanforized selvage Japanese denim. Although A.P.C. says they are relaxed fit, these are by no means baggy, they fit mid rise and comparable to straight leg Levis. But since they are a French company, I guess these are considered relaxed. So far they are amazing, thick but not too thick, rough but not too rough, and stretching out nicely. I bought a 29 (normally a 31) because of the stretching and I think it was just about the right size. I sprayed a little hot water from the thigh down to shrink them and then wore them until they were dry because the length is fairly long, around 35. So here's after day one; first wash isn't until a year from now...I'm looking forward to getting some serious fading and character over that time...
