My Dad's Retirement Gift | AC Cobra

Quite possibly one of the greatest pieces of machinery ever created...Carol Shelby had a simple yet brilliant idea, take a lightweight car and drop a huge displacement engine in it. My father has lusted over this car since I remember hearing his voice. I'm hoping we can build out a kit car with a 427 when he retires. I'd love to have the body/chassis done and then take a few weeks off and drop in the crate motor together. Would be great to hear that monster turn over and then take it for a spin in the spring of his retirement. Need to start saving.

Best Men's Blog | Jake Davis

In case you didn't already know or vote yet...check out Jake Davis

How do I shoot photos like this?

Is this film, is this post-processing? I want the definitive dark blurred lines and shadows for some upcoming portraits...
Is this the Terry Richardson method of an auto-focus film camera? Help! Please...even if it's a photoshop trick to attain this look... Thanks in advance!

Rugby | Military Jacket

Ok, so I like Rugby, but seriously, enough with the goddamn patches and themed clothing... I would totally buy this except for the stupid patch. It's a great price and their stuff always fits me well, but the patch on the shoulder kills it for me... I'm going to hit up the Chicago store and see if I can seam-rip the patch off. Rugby, do your self a favor and act more like your big brother Polo. Less.Is.More.

Rugby | Skull Intarsia Wool Sweater

...add a little attitude to the holiday parties ehh? I have to admit, I like this and would wear it a lot, not much forest green in my closet, but this is pretty fresh...

Alden via Epaulet

*these will be on my feet come spring in a longwing blucher... so sick.

Omega | Flightmaster

I'm infatuated with the 70's colored dials and hands on Omega watches.

Lee x Journal Standard

Of course this will never make its way out of Japan...figures, anything I would ever buy from American companies like Lee will never make it here, so sad...

I'd rather have mine...

Saw this in the window of the furniture store under my building today, price tag reads $1,295, yes it's petrified wood, and although it's cool, I'd rather have mine...
*Also, if you're interested in a tree stump end table for this spring, please comment below. I'm trying to figure out a cost, how many to produce, and if these heavy beasts are able to ship reasonably... If you're in Chicago, they will obviously be much cheaper!

Epaulet presents: the Alden Shoe Company from Epaulet Shop on Vimeo.

This is everywhere, but it's amazing for people to see the work that goes into Alden shoes, I love my wingtips and will be purchasing a light whiskey or cognac pair of long wings here soon...

Eddie Bauer | Heritage Collection

So I (just like everyone else in the midwest) grew up going to Eddie Bauer as a kid, but as high school approached the brand had lost its luster, and by the time college had passed, the brand was heading towards chapter 11. With Eddie Bauer's recent buyout and rebranding into more of an American hunting/fishing brand (i.e. where the brand started) I've been interested to see the products that stem out of their new ownership and directors. The Heritage Collection from EB has quite a few good looking products and a unique story accompanying the collection, but the fit, quality, and overseas production might not command the prices they are asking. Above are a few new products that caught my eye, but I'd love to hear if anyone has had any experience with the "new" Eddie Bauer...

pick your favorites and let me know... don't worry about the brands... blazers are about fit and texture, not labels...

UPDATE | The Hill-Side Scarf Full Line

The full line of amazing new scarfs from The Hill-Side... I wore mine every single day this past weekend and it's the perfect weight, easily layered, and fit nicely into my wardrobe of 25 different blue jackets (slight exaggeration, but maybe not...)
