Jacket is so killer, I love mine.
I know right, so good... love it... now if it can just stay fall long enough to wear it a few times...
thumbs up!!great jacket. i especially like the red wine color!!
I need some of those Baldwin pants asap.
This jacket is so bad. But I have a hard time spending $500 on a fall jacket. I don't mind spending that for a heavy winter coat. Also this season the University theme seems to be very trendy. Do you think you will wear this coat season after season, or have to retire after FW - 2010?Regardless, wish I owned!!
I like the jacket enough that I don't really care if it's "trendy". Besides, not all trends are bad... actually ALL of this is a trend. Fashion is trend, and fashion is a business and thus will always change...After all I'm in Chicago and its still about as non-trendy as it gets, I'm still walking around a cluster-fuck of Affliction t-shirts and square-toed Kenneth Cole mind you.
Varsity jackets are less trend and more nostalgia to me.
Agreed on the nostalgia aspect. My issue with wearing one is that I feel it has to be earned. Back in high school (sigh, the good ol' days) the varsity jacket was such a symbol of stature/social hierarchy. I'd feel a little weird wearing one without my sports, positions, and numbers sewn into it. Regardless, it looks great. Those colors beat my mustard yellow/kelly green jacket any day haha
Love those pants from Baldwin. Can you only pick them up in store?
Alexander if you're interested in them email me (firstname.lastname@example.org)
I got this jacket too and I love it. +1 on the sick pants.Gabe's Wit, by that token, then M65 jackets, Bedales, and peacoats should only be worn by army vets, hunters, and sailors, respectively. Come on, bruh.
Hey Daniel, are any of your articles available in Germany yet?
Marco, not as of now. What are some good German shops?
Daniel, in Berlin I would recommend the SOTO store for example and maybe the CIVILIST store. And there is the HARVESTt store in Munich from Philip. I think those three would be a first good recommendation for you!
