Introducing...

This is my ultimate travel bag...

With the great people at J.W. Hulme Co. and their tremendous lineup of great travel bags and business accessories, I knew over two years ago who I wanted to make this bag. Taking their classic Gladstone bag (think hinged doctors bag) and designing features I wanted from traveling, we came up with a unique and one-of-a-kind bag...

I knew I wanted waxed canvas and WaxWear's gray canvas was my ideal material. Horween's American Heritage leather for Hulme to contrast and give a distinct aged look was the next piece to the over aesthetic of the bag. Next were the details...I hate zippers, so we took them off and created a slim leather trimmed pocket on both sides to perfectly fit a magazine and your itinerary. Next the top closure, instead of the old fashioned buckles and straps, I had them take the quick fasteners from their Document Case and use them as the main fasteners. For the handles, instead of making them attached/sewn into the leather like their traditional model, we used a nickel hinge to allow folding and better storage in an overhead compartment. Finishing up the inside with a great lining and multiple leather trimmed zippered pockets which Hulme already does so well.

Of course, 100% made in America, and guaranteed for life isn't bad either.

As for right now, this bag (mine) is one of one, but if you would like to carry you're own, email me at Ryan @ CU5TOM.com as these will be extremely limited in production.

Thanks to Jen, and her amazing artisans for creating the bag I've always wanted!
