Did you hem these? I'm six feet tall and i feel like ive had to roll/cuff every pair of raw denim ive ever owned an obnoxious amount to be wearable...i'm down with the cuff, just curious.

Another question... What did you do about the smell? I've wanted to do something similar, but I was worried about having an ocean-y smell afterwards (not the good kind). Will you put them through a wash, or at least a soak in fresh water?
Another question for you - I wanted to do the same thing, but not sure where to get them. Do any pair of shrink-to-fit levi's work?

BadScene - they are finally dry and the pacific was ice cold, and hardly smelled, they smell much better actually... maybe I was lucky... I did go shower under a fresh water sand shower on the beach after to remove the sand, then laid on the beach and slept...
JM- Shrink to fits will do the exact same thing... I would do this in those as well...

Thanks for the info. I'll have to try this once the weather warms up a bit. It should be a good time for it too, I just started a pair of EP's and they'll be ready for a good soak.
Awesome, I did an ocean soak in Barbados and was happy with the results.
Anyone thinking of doing one, don't forget to rinse all the saltwater out before they dry!
