Red Label

*after a couple emails and tweets I thought I'd reference the materials and construction of the bag since most haven't seen Red Label... the canvas is (to the best of my knowledge and feel) the same thickness and stiffness as the khaki or green options I've previously owned.  The tan bridle leather is a bit softer and less shiny than the standard dark brown bridle and should look amazing after some wear and tear... other than that, same zippers, and sewing, both great... very happy with it... should be a great carry-on.

You copped? How does the cloth thickness compare to regular Filson? I heard it's light-er.

I have to disagree with Ryan about the thick/stiffness, might be a difference in the fabric for the various colors? I have the red non-zipper version and it's definitely lighter than the green duffle or khaki wheeled carry-on I own, less dense weave. The khaki/green are more of a twill material and oiled so they also feel more heavy. This red-label tote is more of a canvas, lighter and more coarse.

I do definitely agree about the tan leather, it feels much softer than the standard brown which I hope will make it more comfortable, one of my biggest complaints when carrying the full duffle on my shoulder.

It's still definitely a nice bag, I'd hoped to get the navy zipper version, so if anyone wants to trade for my red one. Message me.

As one of the men's accessories buyers at UO, I can tell you that these are the exact same bags that Nanamica has (they are not a UO collab.) But having handled all of the colors in both zip and non-zip, I would agree that the canvas is less-stiff than the standard version, but the difference is nominal. I didn't notice any difference in fabric throughout the 3 Red Label colorways. Shoot me an email if you have any specific or technical questions about them.

Biochem- I don't know, maybe the blue is thicker.. I'd say its at least 18oz canvas...

BTW, anyone who still wants one of these bags. UO just posted more navy in both Zipper and non-zippered.
